The Milégé World Music Festival returns to Entebbe from June 6-8, 2025, promising a vibrant fusion of music, culture, and nature in the stunning Entebbe Botanical Gardens. This year, the festival reaffirms its commitment to celebrating African heritage, creativity, and community spirit on an international stage.
Held under the patronage of the Office of the Mayor of Entebbe, the festival is a collaborative effort between key stakeholders in the city, bringing together the finest African creative arts with world-class hospitality. Milégé offers an immersive experience where history, tradition, and contemporary African identity converge, all set against the breathtaking natural beauty of Entebbe.
Beyond showcasing Africa's dynamic world music scene, Milégé is a feast for the senses. Festival-goers can savor sizzling grilled meats, freshly pounded fufu, sweet coconut treats, and aromatic herbal teas-each dish a tribute to Africa's diverse culinary traditions.
Explore a vibrant marketplace filled with handcrafted artifacts, from Maasai beadwork to intricate Kente fabrics.
Skilled seamstresses will be on-site, creating custom outfits from colorful Kitenge fabric.
In addition to live performances, fun activities, and lively marketplaces, the festival offers interactive experiences that bring African traditions to life, including:
* Silent Cinema - Showcasing award-winning short films from across Africa.
* Herbal Healing Walks - Guided by expert herbalists, uncovering the medicinal secrets of the Botanical Gardens.
* Cultural Showcases - Traditional dance, storytelling, and art demonstrations celebrating Africa's rich heritage.
An official press conference will be held on Tuesday 15th April 2025, to announce the full artist line-up, partners, and exciting new additions to the festival.
Join us for three days of world class creative arts and let the essence of nature set you free!! Visit www.milege.org and our social media pages for updates and ticket information.
