Wednesday, June 19th, the Ssese Nation brought the city together for a powerful cause at the Pulse of Life blood donation drive held at Stonehaven Restaurant in Kampala. The event coincided with World Sickle Cell Day and was a heartfelt effort to raise awareness about sickle cell disease while encouraging lifesaving blood donations.
NRG Radio showed up strong. Our very own stars including Etania, DJ Cross, DJ Moze, Melvyn DJ, DJ Alza, DJ Kas Baby, and Linus Tats turned up not just to entertain but to donate and support the cause. Their energy helped power the day and keep spirits high from 10 AM till the final donation at 5 PM.
The drive was made possible through a partnership with several organizations that share a common goal: to increase the number of voluntary blood donors and shine a light on the challenges faced by those living with sickle cell disease.
If you missed out, you can still be part of the movement. Blood donations are always needed, and every pint can help save a life. Let this be a reminder that giving back isn’t just noble—it’s necessary.
NRG Radio is proud to support initiatives that make a difference. Keep an eye on our platforms for more impactful events like this.
